Becoming an artist continues to be a fascinating pursuit for me, and last year was a year of firsts. In the spring I attended my first pastel convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and took workshops from the famous artists Doug Dawson, Desmond O’Hagan and Margaret Dyer. Last fall I had a booth at my first art fair, Art in the Barn in Barrington, Illinois. In 2012, I plan to teach my first pastel class!
